CIPR Communications Inc. (“cipr communications”) is pleased to announce that the company has added three talented communicators to its dynamic team, increasing agency’s capacities in the areas of web development and graphic design, media and public relations and social media.

“With the addition of three new staff on our team, CIPR Communications is well equipped to handle the communications needs of any company,” said CIPR Communications CEO, Christina Pilarski. “From logo, brand and website development to strategic corporate and crisis communications, our team has the experience and capability to become your full-service communications partner.”

With these three additions, the CIPR Communications team has doubled to six full time employees with plans to add additional resources in the coming months. New team members include Courtenay Davidson, Creative Lead; Sheldon Smith, Content Advisor; and Joleen Stermann, Social Media Advisor.

Courtenay Davidson has been communicating for over a decade using words and graphics. Her education led her to graphic design, where she discovered the power of digital communications. Since starting as a graphic designer, Courtenay has moved towards a more fulsome approach to communications with a focus on writing, web technologies and all things social media. Courtenay has worked for Hitachi Canada, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, and Tourism Jasper.


Sheldon Smith’s background in journalism, communications, marketing, media relations, and social media has allowed him to develop a wide range of skills. He emphasized relationship building in his content and believes in the power of storytelling and communicating. Sheldon brings a unique ability to connect with audiences through the written word. His professional experience includes IMPACT Magazine, Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association, Northern Star Publications, and the Calgary Herald.


Joleen Stermann is an innovator in the field of social media and digital communications. She is certified in major digital platforms including Google Analytics and Hootsuite, which set her apart from other communications professionals in her field. Her skills include the ability to create organic engagement and craft posts that resonate with key target audiences. Her work experience includes social media organization, customer service, and event management.
